  1. Luckily, the generic is now back. It is so much more affordable.
  2. I saw this on a "Thought of the Day" calender. Really made me recognize my self destructive behaviours. Have you ever noticed how uptight you feel when youre caught up in your thinking? And, to top it off, the more absorbed you get in the details of whatever is upsetting you, the worse you feel. One thought leads to another, and yet another, until at some point, you become incredibly agitated.
  3. Your peace is more important than driving yourself crazy trying to understand why something happened the way it did. Let it go.
  4. the pharmacist told me there was a lawsuit between the Valtrex and the generic makers. Something about the patent. It went to court and Valtrex won.
  5. Yes, the generic Valtrex was taken off the market for almost a year I think. I get 100 pills at a time. I have insurance as well but still being out of pocket until reimbursement hurts. $102 is doable, $382 takes a bite out of the budget
  6. I went to fill another prescription this past week and was told that generic Valtrex is once more available. Huge savings. I paid $102 rather than $382 Yayyy!
  7. we are working on things. I wanted to share my story so the OP would see that there are others in the same situation of finding out about herpes after years of marriage.
  8. No, I didnt take a blood test, my outbreak was very mild, in fact i had only 2 very small blisters. The dr didnt think it was herpes. I had to almost demand that he swab. My husband hasnt been tested either. He went to the dr but the dr told him it didnt matter if he had it or not since we are married and wouldnt do it. He said if he didnt have it then he would be suspicious of me. So husband opted to forego the test. So we are sexless right now... but we have been for a couple years before this due to unrelated "issues" in the marriage.
  9. Ive been married since 1998 and was diagnosed with hsv2 through a swab test last Dec. I was horrified and am only now coming to terms with it. My husband swears he has been faithful and i have to trust that he was. My gp told me some inaccurate things so I spoke to an std nurse at the health unit. She was MUCH more informed. She told me that it is very possible to have it for years with no symptoms.
  10. Yay, found the best shorts ever for running. Ive been getting irritated from the heat and sweat while running or hiking. Feels like a sunburn down below. Sucks cause i run/hike 5 days/week. I bought a pair of New Balance shorts the other day. they have built in mesh panties. Lots of air flow and quick dri material. did 10km today and no irritation or burning....Love them!!!
  11. Sometimes in solitude there is healing. Speak to your soul. Listen to your heart. The answers are often found in the absence of noise.
  12. I run, hike, and go for a drive while playing my music LOUD
  13. I dont know what to say. Im so sorry. Big hug
  14. i found some coconut in liquid form at the health food store. Love it. says pure, unrefined on the bottle.
