  1. So my now ex bf went to the doctor for a physical and to get tested for hsv. His doctor would not test him because he wasn't having any symptoms down below. She advised him that they only test if there are symptoms. He also explained to her that I had low igg test results of 1.30 for hsv2 and that my doctor required me to retest in June. She told him that there is no such thing as a low positive either you have it or you dont. So he believes he doesn't have it because of what she said. It bums me out that his doctor doesn't know what she's talking about and the fact that he didn't make her do the test.

  2. @whitedaises you're right. Since I was diagnosed I started taking a billion supplements and other things. So I think I'm trying to do to much to help instead of trying one or two things at a time to see how they work I cut some of the supplements and am trying to see how my body reacts to the ones I'm currently taking before I add more.

  3. Well when I went to the bathroom last night I had a long line of irritation almost like a long skin break in the side of my vagina.where the bottom crease meets the leg. I only knew it was there becaused of me going pee and I wiped it and it was tender. Is this a paper cut ob? It's different from the other one I had. Or I wonder if this could be from the hbalm soap I used. Maybe it irritated and dried the skin out causing it to crack.

  4. @sadpanda I'm sorry you're not feeling 100% either. I can say I believe valtrex is working for me as well since I haven't had an ob. I just wish I could get rid of these other symptoms. I've been using the coconut oil I think it does help. I have a Dr appointment next month I'm hoping things calm down or they can give me something for the irritation

  5. @80schild I have. I asked a terri at westover heights in a paid question thread about me retesting since my Igg was 1.30. She said that if I retest to soon my antibodie level may still be low due to me taking the medication slowing down the amount of antibodies the body is creating.

Maybe you should try the medication and see if that might help you.

  6. @80schild I just recently found out in December. I believe that's when I contracted the virus as well. I tried taking the meds as soon as I was off the treatment for my initial ob. I was originally given valtrex for suppressive therapy. At first I was so depressed I got sick and thought it was the meds so my Dr said I should stop meds and use the episodicaly. I started getting prodomes and got nervous and started taking acyclovir. I was on that 400mg 2xs a day. I had two paper cut ob's while on it and switched back to valtrex which I take once daily. When I first took acyclovir I was a little nauseous but I learned to take it with food. I do feel a little tired quite often since I've been taking the valtrex. You can ask me all the questions you want

  7. @80schild I've been taking antivirals for about 2 months. Im taking generic valtrex suppressive for almost a month now and it's working better than acyclovir. I haven't had any type of ob on valtrex. When I was on acyclovir I had two small paper cut ob's that only had one small cut each time. I tried to not take anything for about two weeks and I got nervous because I didn't want to deal with an ob. But, I do have irritation that keeps coming and going. I've also noticed got my refill the other day it was by a different mfg and it seems to be working better. Not sure if it's that or my body may be finally fighting this virus better. I also take supplements daily

  8. @sadpanda I'm just hoping that since we have had some time feeling better/normal that our body is learning to fight this virus. Im barely 3 months in so I know everything is new still. I wish I was one of the people that had no symptoms
