  1. I'd like someone to talk to. I'm 29, female and from the Houston area. Been dealing with h for a little over 2 years now. I'd be fine with both giving and getting support. Message me! Thanks!
  2. I bought some stuff called 'quick clear' on the Internet. It claims to clear the herpes virus from the body system. It comes with some pills to take and some soothing spray gell. Here are the ingredients for the pills: burdock root, ashwagandha root, echinacea root, Passion flower and some other natural roots. Have yall heard of this? It already seems sketchy to me that the company is advertising to CURE the virus. But I bought it anyways. Have yall heard/tried it out?
  3. Acyclovir ointment has not seemed to make anything better for me. And, yes, it IS supposed to be used for treating an outbreak (rather than preventative). However, I'm a little confused as to what constitutes an actual outbreak. Is it an outbreak when it's super itchy and I know blisters are in the near future OR when I have blisters? I've used the ointment when I've looked down there and seen that my skin is white (looks like a blister that is forming but hasn't quite popped yet). Sorry for the graphic description. Sounds like tea tree oil is definitely not something I will try.
  4. I think the immune boosting drinks and multi health vitamins are really helping me. I still don't feel completely healed (from an outbreak that started at the beginning of December) but I haven't felt better in a long time!
  5. Thanks for the tip about Epsom baths. No, I don't have eczema or psariosis. I visited the doctor about this on Friday and she said that my immune system is weak and that's why the outbreaks are so frequent. She recommended more sleep (I have a tendency to put in way to many hours at work) and add a multivitamin to my morning regimen of valtrex, lisene, and acedopholis. I've also began TODAY using emergen-C, an immune system boosting drink mix. We'll see how it goes!
  6. I've known about being HSV2 positive for a year. I'm taking valcyclovir daily and using acyclovir ointment daily as well. I am continuing to have outbreaks every few weeks and any relief is few and far between despite the prescriptions, avoiding sex, wearing loose clothes, eating a healthy diet.... I am despritely seeking relief from this so I can live my life without being uncomfortable all the time. I also take vitamins to boost my immune system (lysine and acidophilus). Can anyone offer a different suggestion? Please help
