I was at my docs last week and decided to request a full std screen, my husband recently had a affair. I came back positive hsv1 and hsv2. The antibody levels were high so I have had the virus for a while. I have never had a single symptom and my ex-husband claims he's has never had a symptom. Yes I am convinced he passed it to me. I didn't even know what H was until now. Three weeks ago prior to knowing I was infected, I had unprotected sex on three occasions with the same partner. He has shown no signs of an outbreak. Based on my reading there is only 4% chance he was infected. The question is do I tell him he was exposed? Since he has not had an outbreak he either didn't get infected or he already has it. I wish I didn't know. I think with H ignorance would be better than knowing especially if you have no symptoms.
