  1. I've had this for 1.5 years now and although the outbreaks aren't as severe, they're still constant and always feel something whether it be a tingly feeling, burning nerve pain, or blisters. Does it eventually get less frequent? I'd be at peace having this disease if it would go away for a few weeks and come back every so often but mine is chronic. Valtrex reduces the severity but not frequency. Just wondered if anyone else had this experience and over time it got better. Thank you.
  2. Go get ultraviolet blood irradiation. that cleared up my nerve issues from contracting HSV.
  3. I wonder too if that means we're active. I have no blisters but tingling and nerve sensations. Anyone know?
  4. Does anyone know what the risk of transmitting GHSV1 from female to male when using a condom with symptoms? I don't have blisters but I feel burning sensation on just one spot on my labia and up my nerves in my spine chronically. It's a minor burning sensation but still there pretty much all the time. I'm worried to transmit to my new partner who is negative for HSV1. Just wondering how likely would he be able to get it if we use condoms? He's young, healthy and never gets sick. I'm not on suppressive therapy yet. Thank you for any info you can give me.
  5. Yes I'm positive. I blood tested negative to all STDs before my last boyfriend who was positive for HSV and after we dated, I contracted it and got blood tested again and came up positive. I feel absolutely nothing on my mouth all down below.
  6. Not really since I contracted. Sometimes it gets worse and sometimes I barely feel it. But I mostly feel some tiny bit of burning down there ever since I contracted. I don't even take meds though cuz it doesn't bother me much. The nerve sensations are much more bothersome. Wondering if it's cuz I got HSV1 genitally that I don't break out. But if it would stop me giving it to someone, then I would take meds.
  7. Hi, I contracted HSV1 vaginally about a year ago. I've never had an outbreak, just a general burning sensation in my vaginal area and nerve sensations throughout my spine. I'm getting back into the dating world and just wondering if I can pass on the virus to someone who puts fingers me and then puts his fingers in his mouth or if someone goes down on me. If I've never had blisters or anything, just burning. Please help! Thanks
  8. When antibodies show up that you are HSV 1+, does that mean that the chances to autoinnoculate are slim? I'm HSV 1+ genitally and worry about my eyes all the time cuz they seem to be dry and itchy so much since I contracted herpes.
  9. Is the B helping the tingly feelings? Do you have burning pain in your nerves? Thank you!
  10. What vitamin B complex are you guys taking? Which brand and is it B12, B6 or B3?
  11. I've tried oregano oil and it does help. I just get worried about ingesting the strong of an oil. It is about the only thing that really does make me feel normal again. The olive leaf extract helps a little too. And acupuncture. But still, I have pins/needles feeling and burning sensation all along my nerves in my back and neck. This is awful.
  12. How long did your initial last? This has been going on for 6 weeks and the tingly feelings for 3 weeks. I'm eating well and high lysine diet. I have not received meds as I just got the confirm over answering machine Friday night at 7:00 pm.
  13. janedoe, did you have tingly feelings in your face too? were you hsv-1 or 2 positive?
  14. Thanks, janedoe. That makes me feel better. I have vitamin B3 and B6 here at my house. Which one do you take for your nerves?
