  1. AJ2015 I'm so sorry your having a rough time! Speaking from my own experience with H and being a midwife I wonder 2 things - have you looked into the food triggers for outbreaks? It could be your consuming a lot of something that causing them. And 2 there are supplements that are safe in pregnancy to support your immune system - echinacea, garlic, lemon balm... But you need to talk to your doc about them and the meds. If they aren't working they need to be changed. There is more you can do! Don't give up! This is partly hormonal, the placenta starts pumping out growth hormones to get your baby ready for the birth.
  2. Sorry left that out! I have HSV 2 and have a new partner that has had HSV 1 outbreaks as a child but none as an adult.
  3. Hi All, I know the common ways to prevent transmission and my guy and I follow all the rules but I did a search to see if there was definitive information about whether or not showering after sex can reduce transmission and didn't get a clear answer. I am positive and he is not. Also, if I am not having an outbreak and he goes down on me the chances of transmission of very low correct?
