I contracted HSV-2 after my kids, but I have a friend who had her baby after her diagnosis. She also had a successful vaginal delivery. What the doctors do is monitor you closely, put you on antivirals for the entire pregnancy. If you have an outbreak during labor they push for a csection.

Yes know that I think about it, I was tired on it the first time around, but I also had a fever and aches during my first outbreak, so I attributed it to that :)

Hi SPAT, No this was my second outbreak. I wasn't depressed either, thankfully been on antidepressants for 22 years :) My first outbreak was 3 months ago.

Hi All :) I was on a 10 day prescription for Valtrex and I have never been so exhausted. Has anyone else experienced tiredness while on Valtrex? Peppa

Hi! :) I sent a question to the Westover Heights clinic, paid the $20 fee as someone on here suggested and have yet to hear back from them. I did this Monday morning. How long does it take to get an answer? I am wondering if they went out of business? They took my money quickly enough LOL

Married female in NJ, newly diagnosed, have no idea how I contracted HSV-2...only get outbreaks on my front thighs. Id love to talk to any other females in my situation.

Hi All! I have just found out I have HSV-2. However, I have the breakouts on my legs. :-0 My first outbreak was 3 months ago on my right thigh right above my knee; now I have another outbreak on my left thigh right above my knee. A little background, my first outbreak we initially thought was shingles...but now I have had it swabbed and cultured and it IS HSV-2. This is odd, I have been married for two years and my husband has NEVER had an outbreak of shingles. NONE of my boyfriends that I had before him ever had ANY outbreaks that I could have seen. I find it out that NOW I am getting outbreaks when I have been with the same person for 2 1/2 years. Neither one of us has cheated on each other either, trust me I know he hasn't. :) Has anyone else ever heard of herpes on the legs?? Does this mean I should not have sex with my husband while I have an outbreak even though it is on my thigh? Does this mean I have genital herpes?? Thanks so much, this is just so odd! Peppa
