Hi ladies. I find myself in the same neuralgia situation. Burning in my tailbone, butt cheeks, and vag. It's been 6 months of hell. The longest 6 months of my life. I am 46 and have had hsv since I was 21. It was never much of a problem until I turned 42. Then constant outbreaks started no matter how much of an antivirals I took. Then when I turned 46. This neuralgia started. It was after an outbreak. I started to burn down there and thought no way, it's only been 2 days since the last healed. But I never got the outbreak just the daily burning that I still have today. I have gone to the gyno 3 times, my gp twice, recently I went to a neurologist who wants me to get an MRI. I am so afraid it's going to show ms Like this isn't bad enough. I also have a lump on my thyroid that formed about when this started. I have a biopsy scheduled for that also. Anyway that's my story. I'm so depressed. Some nights I pray that I won't wake up in the morning. So tired of this and feeling horrible about myself. I have always taken care of myself and am attractive. But I feel so BROKEN.
