  1. Thanks for replying, I'll definitely keep this in mind in the future!
  2. Lately, I've been getting really frustrated with getting to know people I might consider dating. I've disclosed in a lot of different ways over the time that I've been single and looking to date and I'm starting to get really tired of the way people are responding to it. Some people don't even consider meeting me once they know I'm H+ or refuse to touch me without literal gloves. I totally get people not wanting to get herpes, but being treated that way really takes a toll on my self esteem. I just wish people would get to know me first and then make decisions about how they want to proceed after they've given me an opportunity to show them what kind of person I am. I have dated people since I found out and not had issues with them, so I kind of don't understand why now has to be any different. I just want people to see past the H+ and see the person that I am.
  3. I would love to have a few herpes buddies I could get close to. I don't mind if you live somewhere else because I have texting and Skype so it's not a big deal. I don't know anyone else in my area who has herpes so I would love to make friends that do have it. Basics about me: I am 21, female, and gay-- if you don't like gay people we might not be a good fit. I love movies, dance, swimming, crystals, essential oils, meditation, gaming, and colouring. I live in Wisconsin and I'm a Human Services major (which is the first step to becoming a social worker). If you wanna be my friend feel free to inbox me and we can exchange numbers :). I hope to see your messages soon!
  4. So I just joined here after finding out I'm HVS2+. After the first visit to urgent care I was doing some research online and read about L- Lysine being helpful for herpes and preventing it from spreading to other people. I just wanted to know if anyone else here is taking it as an added supplement along with their Valtrex? Or maybe when the outbreak isn't happening? Anyway if anyone has an opinion or thoughts on it I'd love to hear it. Especially because my girlfriend as far as we know doesn't have herpes. But we're both taking it as a preventative measure. Side note: we both went in and asked for them to test us for all STIs including herpes. So we should get results avout that in a couple days. Thanks I appreciate it a bunch if you read all of that!
