Almost 2 months into second outbreak

Recommended Posts

Hello! I was diagnosed with HSV2 in May 2021. I contracted the virus in November 2020. I’m currently experiencing my second outbreak & it is such a pain. It’s actually worse than the first one. I just don’t know what to do. It was healing slowly, but then my cycle came & it got bad again. I just don’t know what to do to help clear it up. I’m so tired & it’s frustrating. I’m trying not to stress over because I know that doesn’t help. Any tips or suggestions to help with healing?

Hiya! When I have my first outbreak last month ( still healing as there's a sore/uncomfortable spot on my labia where an ulcer was) I was sitting in a tub of salt water and cleansing with a cotton pad and drying with a hairdryer🤷‍♀️. I mixed 3 drops of teetree oil with 8 drops jajoba oil and that all gave me instant relief. I hope this helps you and you recover soon 🙏 .

Hi @Love2021

I hope you are feeling better since you last posted this. I am so sorry I didn't reply sooner!

Hormones (especially around the cycle) are a trigger for many people. You are not alone. What you are experiencing is normal!

As @Dangermouse said, Epsom salt baths can really help make the sores heal quickly because they speed up the healing cycle and dry up the sores.

I hope this helps!!

Sending blessings of healing and happiness your way!! 💛🌻🦋
