Help, so much pain!

I'm going through my first outbreak. My sores don't look like your average herpes sores, well atleast not like the ones they put in your health book at school but they still hurt so bad. I only have like two sores and they are pretty internal, but EVERYWHERE HURTS! Places that don't have sores at all hurt and it hurts to sit, walk, do anything and I can't take it. I'm in college and have two jobs and it's extremely hard to focus on anything but the pain and nasty discharge. I'm on my meds and I only have three days left of my initial prescription. I know it's different for everyone, but when does it start to get better?

I know the pain you're talking about. I went through it for quite some time, even without sores present. I took Ibuprofen, and it did help, but the pain didn't go away completely. I've had GHSV for 15 years now, and can't remember when the persistent pain finally subsided. I don't know if there is much that can be done for it, aside from trying over the counter pain reducers, or asking your doctor about options. I do hope it gets better for you soon, I know the misery you're experiencing! (((hugs)))
