Abroad without acyclovir

Hi guys..

I am from the UK and take acyclovir 400mg twice a day every day as a suppression.. I normally order off an online pharmacy and buy 3 months worth at a time. 2 months ago I came to Australia travel and am now on my last 4 weeks of my pills.

Does anyone have any information of how I can access more pills here in Australia? I am going to see a doctor tomorrow but have seen online they only prescribe 35 days worth at a time, and as a traveller I need a little more to keep me going as I may be in places where I cannot see a doctor.

 

I have seen a website called genericsaustralia.net but not sure if its a safe website, have anyone used this before?

Hard to say.

From what I remember, Australia has more relaxed rules about medication that the U.S. (where I am from), but I'm not sure that you can get more than 30 or so pills at a time there.

I would think that explaining your travel plans may help you get the medicine you need, but I couldn't say for certain.
