Inner labia

Recommended Posts

Has anyone else noticed in the healing process that their inner labia/vagina opening sort of seal together? I have sores on both sides of my inner labia and I’ve noticed that if I’m not regularly opening and separating them, they will literally fuse together and it hurts like the dickens to get them unstuck. Is this something I should just leave alone and let heal or should I continue to unstick them? I’ve noticed that it’s easier to urinate with them unstuck but I don’t know if it’s worth the pain it causes to do so.

 Hi @Younggun21

Yes, I've noticed that for me each outbreak usually has one side with more lesions.

I've not had the labia sticking issue. One of the best tips I've come across when I first did the mad googling after diagnosis rather uncouthly stated, "Just shove a wad of toilet paper up there. "

I have found that a small piece of TP (2 squares) folded and placed gently over the lesion(s) helps dry them out and prevents them from contacting other skin/lesions. It's also easier to replace every time you go pee than a cotton ball (which I've also tried.)

Hope that helps.

Good luck!
