Possible herpes prodome symptoms? Not sure

Today I have been feeling itchy in the outer genital area. For the past two days I have noticed an area that feels slightly bruised. I think I may be shedding or having an outbreak. I did not notice any bumps or blisters. Yesterday and today I took one 500mg tablet of valtrex. Should I take two a day? Or is one day enough and for how many days.

sometimes you get that itchy feeling, it shows that the virus is maybe quit active but 500 mg is more then enough if you dont see any blisters.If you really get an outbreak the doctors say that you should take 1000 mg for 5 days.
