I just found out I have hsv2 recently too. It is overwhelming I know. I'm struggling to accept it but I have no choice. I'm trying to take one day at a time and not think too much about the future right now so I don't freak out. Hang in there...you're not alone.

Thanks for the reply. I think I am still in shock so haven't even thought about how I will approach my next relationship. I'm on Valtrex twice a day as well and assume it is helping. Somehow I'll get through this!!

I just found out I have HCSV2 about a month ago. I also have flu like symptoms...very sick. I was so stressed out I came down with mono so feel completely miserable. I'm having hot/cold chills and sweats, very tired and soooo stressed out. I have had 3 ob's in the last month and am on an anti viral. I have not been sexually active for some time so am bewildered how or when I got this. Not to get too personal but mine are on my butt...is this normal? I am so thankful I found this site so I don't have to hide in shame. Any suggestions or support would be appreciated!!
