ob started Christmas Eve morning. She started meds the next day. She doesn't complain but I know she is hurting. It started out small but has grown, stings and is starting to leak. She is sick and wants to rest.

For the first time I'm very angry at the woman that gave me this. Not because I have it but because I gave this to someone I adore, love and care for. I feel so helpless...

2legit, I waited longer then that after the outbreak, but I'm thinking she actually caught the virus during the outbreak on November 19th. Which at the time I didn't know it was an actual ob since I never had one in the first place. Talking her today I've found out it is so much worse for her the it was for me. My heart hurts that I gave this to the woman I love. :(

Funny, that's what she basically said to me. I just feel bad, I should've protected her.

We are still getting married but this wasn't what I had hoped for. We though she was in the clear since the tests came back negative, but she had an ob on Christmas Eve morning. This is just killing me that I gave this to the love of my life.

Christmas morning I fond out out that my girlfriend/fiance has contracted the virus from me. I feel as though I've totally let her down though she says I didnt. The symptoms seem to be worse for her since the breakout is forming under her lips near the opening of her vagina. feedback would be helpful. It is one thing that I have it but then to give this to someone you care deeply for is something I'm finding very difficult.

So what you are saying is, no matter if a person has a blood test and it comes back negative a person could have the virus even though they were tested to be negative due to a incubation period so they may be actually positive???

I have learned more being on this site than anywhere else medically. The last person I had sex before December was August - October 2014 a woman I was dating. Before that was May of 2013, dated 3 months and before her was May of 2012 and she did have herpes but we never had inner course just oral.

The woman I believe I contracted the virus from happened last week of December, 2014. I got the rash or a very minor outbreak while we were having sex which we had all that week. So then I got tested in January of 2015 which I do every year on that month.

January of 2015 I was tested and the test came back positive. My outbreak was November 23. It cleared up by Dec 7, 2015 using meds. We had sex on the 12th.

I can agree with your information. I'm going to have to cut back on the sugar, I sense tenderness down below, feel runned down which I know brings lack of sleep and stress creating obs.

Question: does large amounts of sugar bring on a ob. December is a brutal month for me lots of people bring me baked goodies. ;)

Yes took my yearly blood test in January, more so because the lady I slept with the last week of December 2014 I noticed a rash, a small one while having sex with her. She said she was clean and based it all on having to much sex, she was a nurse so I took her word for it. By the time I took the blood test the rash was gone and it came back positive but my Dr. and friends said it was a false reading because I didn't have an actual outbreak , little did I know. So the first major outbreak was November 19th. By December 7, 2015 all has gone back to normal. So I am wondering is it ok to have sex without using a condom?

My gf soon to be my wife is more comfortable with me having herpes than I am. She keeps telling me I love you more than yesterday so I believe that is a good sign we are going to be together for a long time. I was diagnosed January 2015, first ob was 11-19-15 about the size of a fifty cent piece. With meds everything cleared up 12-7-15. Would I be placing my gf at risk if I didn't wear a condom the first 12 months?

should a person use a condom at all times or is it ok not to at times especially the first year?

HH, when you say clear does that mean I won't be able to se anything on my skin? My ob started on the 23rd. Started taking meds on Dec 2, open sores are gone just pink dots are left over and a bit of tenderness.

Golly, I hope I never pass this onto my gf after what you just shared. What is shedding, I don't understand the term?
