BHT to treat herpes?

Has anyone heard of this substance for the treatment of HSV?

There's insufficient evidence that BHT works for treating cold sores / herpes outbreaks. It looks to be just another one of those things that may work or may not depending on the person.

Thanks. Yes, I read the WebMD link yesterday too. I was wondering more about the hard science behind it. I found some research articles explaining how it is thought to work...

 

I guess I was wondering more if anyone here has had any experience with using it or not... ?

Ah, got it. I haven't personally had any experience with it, and that's the first I've actually heard about it! If you do try it, definitely let us know how it goes!
