Asymptomatic shedding

Recommended Posts

Hey! Asymptomatic shedding doesn't have any symptoms at all. Not even nerve pain or twitching. It's completely silent and invisible.

What I believe you're referring to is technically called "prodrome symptoms" that can signal that the virus is starting to move down the nerve ganglia from the spine to the surface of the skin. And I'm no doctor, but from all I've read and heard about how herpes travels through the body is the only nerves that will be affected would be the pathways between the spine and the outbreak site, so unless you've had herpes outbreaks on your feet, it's unlikely that calf pain is prodrome-related.
