First Disclosure

Diagnosed last week as an asymptomatic carrier and just had to have the talk with my new partner. Dreaded it, lost sleep, lost 10 lbs in 5 days, stressed to the max. Surprise - he told me that this does not change how he feels about me and that he is not going anywhere. He wished that he could be with me and hold my hand and hug me and go to the doctor with me. He was afraid that I was pulling away and was confused and sad. He said that telling him about my status made him feel closer to me and that he could not wait to see me. I'm filled with such joy and I know that even if this changes as he absorbs the information, I am okay. Going to get some sleep and wake up knowing that I can handle this new reality.
