OB or follicle? Too unclear, trouble being sure, anyone have this experience?

I'm wondering if anyone has had this experience - I have never been able to figure out what my OB looks like. I'm sorry if that's gross, but hey, we know we have to check so I feel safe here. Every time I feel a tickle I look with a mirror and I just can't tell...it could be an OB, or it could just be a normal, oversized follicle. Has anyone had this difficulty? It's weird because if I feel a tickle and my bf wants to have sex, I just can't tell if I'm safe or not. If you have had this experience, what do you do? Do you go to your gyno and have them tell you if that's it?
