Masturbation causing herpes outbreaks?

I’ve been H positive for almost 10 years. After my initial OB, which was mild, I’m now having similar OBs anytime I masturbate or have sex with my girlfriend. Is this a reason to start Valtrex? Does anyone else have this issue?

And about having outbreaks when you masturbate, for some, stimulating the zone where the initial infection occurred can trigger outbreaks, but it's also tied to a lot more than that, such as your overall immune system and stress levels.
