Hello,

Last Friday I developed a few bumps on my chin that oozed a little discharge. Thought it was an infected bug bite or something and went to the doctor the next morning. Found out it was a form of outbreak. Doctor said not to kiss my child during outbreaks.

Later I realized that i did kiss my son the day before. Not sure if anything under my chin touched him tangentially. What should I do?!

Never thought I would endanger my own child’s permanent health!

IHi, please don’t worry, intact skin is a barrier to the virus and unless he had an open wound, the virus can’t infect him through intact skin such as what would be on a cheek. 🙂 he will be fine  should add - it requires friction of sort and contact with mucosal membranes (lips, eyes, nostrils,) or cuts and tears in skin. don’t worry!!
