False positive HSV2 with high off?

I got tested 6 months ago and was positive for HSV1 and negative for HSV2. I got tested again 10 months later and this time round the igg test came up positive for both. I’ve been married now for 3 years and there’s really no way my wife has cheated on me. Question is how likely is it to have a false positive when your igg result is 8? I plan on getting tested in a different lab with the same test here in a couple of weeks.

i know false positives are possible but do your igg levels still need to be low for that to be possible?

I could be wrong but I think the IgG is the gold standard.  If you've had an outbreak and a positive IgG, well that'd confirm it.
