Hsv2 only ..can I...

I've never had a cold sore in or around my mouth, lips, nothing. I'm in my 30s and just found out I have hsv2 only. 

Can I makeout with someone and not have to worry about passing anything? If there's nothing present and I don't have hsv1, I'm good right ?

I just feel like oral and intercourse is going to be off the table for awhile as I don't have a serious, stable partner but I would really miss making out and kissing too :( help.

Yes, if you don't have oral herpes, you are good to still make out and kiss people.  Herpes spreads by skin to skin contact with the infected area.

@AlliKat12 is spot on. If you don't have oral herpes, then you're good to go with all the kissing that you want without risk of transmission. 🙂  Herpes tends to stay in the area where your primary infection was and doesn't tend to travel.
