How to heal my herpes outbreak?

So I am currently having a bad outbreak. It is almost down to my thighs right now.

 

I was wondering if there was anything I can do that will help it go away and something that could possibly help manage the pain.

Epsom salts baths seem to be one of the favorites here... get a nice warm bath going and dump 3-4 double handfulls into the water between your legs so it gets concentrated where the OB is.

 

These were some discussions about other treatments - Colloidal silver seems to be another that works for some... And Aveeno Oatmeal Body wash I think...

I can't remember if you are on supressive therapy but if not, I'd get on it - I have found if you take it at the first sign of a tingle you can often get it under control. Some people swear by Lysine ... I can't say it worked for me....

I am on suppressive treatment.

I will definitely try the epsom salt bath. They are just burning.

My friend who has it said that cold pressed coconut oil helps her outbreaks.. I don't know if that is true, but I am willing to try anything.

I've heard it helps too - although my preference was to try to dry them out when I got them and THEN use lotions/oils to help the scabs heal. But it's worth a try - I used a coconut oil/tea tree/lavender salve for a fungal issue awhile back and it worked pretty well so you may want to make some up and try that...

I got a thing of cold pressed coconut oil. All organic. I also got some tea tree oil. ( Which I already had because I love using it for my hair.)

I am allergic to lavender though. So I might try mixing those two up.

You don't have to have the lavender - I just used it to mellow out the tea tree smell...and Lavender is antibacterial so it doesn't hurt :)

Okay cool. I tried some of the mixture and today I already see a difference! They look like they are starting to scab up and heal. Honestly I am not even really in that much pain right now.
