Dam neck pain!!!

Had herpes for Three years now, had my big episoid....and just all of a sudden yesterday, I get a pain in my neck which leads me to believe its my lymph node and not nodes, since its only on one side toward the middle to end of my neck. I have bad tonsiles too but since I have herpes and not getting any younger (38yrs. old) Im a worry wort!!! its day 2 now....is this alawys going to bother me?!?

Hi Kiambu, One side lymph node pain? Could be some other cold s/infection since you have bad tonsils. Are you on antibiotics? I'm sure that's what it is.... feel better! X~ me

Take it from someone who has had this for 35 years... no it won't always bother you. AND, it may not be the Herpes causing your glands to swell...there are plenty of other things that can cause that. If it's the Herpes it will get less over time... for some it's faster than others. The more you obsess and worry, the longer it will take... your "opportunity" with herpes (the lesson you may learn from having herpes) might be to learn to relax and stop worrying ;)
