Do herpes blisters need to pop?

This would be the second outbreak I've noticed. I googled this question and could not seem to find a straight answer. Do herpes blisters need to pop? I have seen one site say to do it yourself (which I know not too) and many say to not do it yourself, but none about if they need to or not in order to heal. I learned what triggered it but I didn't think about it when I was doing it (I tanned 5 days before I noticed it).

I would say rather than popping them, help them to dry out with Epsom Salts baths (put the salt right between your legs) and go commando when you can. That may be all you need to help it dry right up...

I've been using baking soda and not wearing underwear. But I was told that it needed to pop but it looks like it is drying up now.

Opening them up makes it easier to spread the virus... I'd not mess with them unless you just can't get them to clear up any other way

That is what I thought. My doctor didn't explain anything to me and she wasn't the one that told me, her nurse did, so I have to poke around for answers. Thank you!

They will open up on their own, and if not then good for you because that shit hurts. Dancer is right about the Epsom salt and commando. I swear it worked almost immediately for me.
