When someone is suicidal, it's because something is severely chemically off. And you said he would be either angry or sad when he visited... sounds like he was fighting the inner demons then.... sounds like he was a ticking time bomb. In no way should you blame yourself......

 

You did the right thing to disclose. How he handled it is not in your hands. Given that he accepted it I'm sure that the end was not connected to H.

 

You may need some grief counseling to work through this... almost sounds like Survivors Guilt ... I'd see if there is a local group or whatever for the berieved.... so you can work through those feelings....
