Informed but uninformed

Recommended Posts

I have HSV 2 but no noticeable symptoms. It's been almost two years since my positive blood test result and still nothing. How would I know I'm experiencing prodome or an outbreak? How can I protect my partner if I don't know it's coming?

Unfortunately if you dont get any prodromes/OBs then you won't know - that is the #1 reason that H is spread ... most of the new cases were from people who didn't know they had it ... so they didn't know they *could* spread it

Antivirals give you a 50% reduction in shedding, and condoms give you another 50% reduction so you can get it down to 1% chance if you use both...and given that you don't seem to have OB's, well, there's a pretty good chance that even with just the anti-virals your risk would be reasonably low because it means your body is doing a good job of controlling it.
