Piercing

I have been wanting to get my hood pierced. Is it necessary to tell whoever is doing the piercing that I have herpes? I apologize if this is innopropriate for this site. I don't know who else to ask. I have not had an outbreak since I first was diagnosed. Again, my intention is not to be innapropriate. I just need to be educated.

Nothing is inappropriate here .. we are a judgement free zone specifically so we can answer any question people may have .... and really, what's wrong with asking a question about piercing??? Perfectly legit to me ;)

Just keep the area REALLY clean after and take extra good care of yourself while you heal so you don't set off an OB.... ;)
