Off anti virals.....side effects?

I have been off antivirals a week after being on them 5 months.

 

I feel nauseous and run down....anyone experience that when getting off the Meds or is it just herpes giving me nausea?

If you went off them cold turkey it could be that your body is having to adjust to not having them in the system... when you are on a med long-term it's best to step it down to come off of it ;)

Yah. Dr wouldn't renew my prescription. Ugh.

So how are the symptoms now you are off? Same? or Worse?

I am actually quite confused....and I would say my biggest strength is my ability to analyse so the fact I can't figure this out is upsetting.

 

My symptoms seem about the same on and off but more nauseous than normal.

 

I had a lot of side pain so don't know if that was from altrex or not. Only time will tell.

 

The infectious disease specialist will help on Wednesday I hope. I just wonder if I also developed shingles but with no rash w herpes or shingles it's hard to tell and to get a definite diagnosis. I hate that I got this in such an ambiguous fashion. I wish I got herpes like everyone else. It comes and goes and u deal with life inbeteeen.

 

Anyway it's only been a week so I will have to see. I am getting a bit of anxiety now I am off them bc I am worried about herpes symptoms.

 

Oh and btw the lab lost my throat swab so I will never know if that 103 degree fever with white exudate was herpes (it wasn't strep) I just feel jinxed.

The stupid receptionist said I can come in and do another swab today. And I couldn't believe it. I am like it's too late the symptoms are gone. I feel like I am dealing with monkeys with my diagnosis!!!!
