birth control pills?

Recommended Posts

Don't think there is a correlation here....I don't take birth control b/c they made me nauseous and a cleaning machine before I would get my period....

Anyway, I guess they could contribute to an outbreak bc they affect hormones and sometimes hormonal changes can cause outbreaks for some people.

Dancer knows everything and she will likely respond with more help here.

I wouldn't be afraid to take them though....lots of people doing it!!!!

There shouldn't be an issue with birth control pills as far as the antivirals affecting their potency. They are two different kinds of drugs and they don't interact with each other in that way.

The one thing you may find is it may actually help to control the outbreaks or at least if you have an outbreak before your period you will know that time is coming and you can take the antivirals at the same time for maybe 2 or 3 days before which may be a good way to keep the OBs under control...
