Constant shooting pain in back and thighs

Recommended Posts

Does anybody else have this issue ?..I've had hsv for

About a year and a half and I used to notice before

An outbreak I would get shooting pains

In my lower back thighs and pelvis. It reminds me

Of sciatic pain, but after doing some research

It may be what they call postherpetic neuralgia . Over

Time it seems this pain has become more frequent

And it makes it hard to sleep at night.

If anybody else had this..what do you do to ease

The pain? I take valtrex daily and vitamins daily but

Nothing seems to help :(.

Yep. I had that with my primary outbreak. Worst nerve pain of my life. The only thing that gave me some relief was taking 800mg ibuprofen. Try that and let us know if it worked for you. I hope you feel better.

I had this with my primary outbreak as well. It was pretty terrible for the first few days but it did go away. Like the others have said Ive heard it can be a prodrome symptom as well.
