my tongue hurts for 3 days i don't have any red bump or a canker sore . is it possible to have herpes on your tongue ? I have had terrible symptoms so far from tingly very uncomfortable feeling around my face . and now my tongue feels tingly and it hurts . my body is trying to fight it and its probably because of that but does it get any better ?

I was gonna see a dermatologist but I have nothing to show . I posted before I did have a red inflamed taste bud on my tounge it looked like herpes but was gone on in a day which I don't think that was herpes it doesn't just go away in a day and it didn't hurt at all. pluss I don't have any money at the time to go see a doctor .

It's very unlikely that it's Herpes. For one, it doesn't like the inside of the mouth (oral Herpes is usually on the outside edges of the lips)... even HSV1 doesn't like it there.

Have you tried gargling with salt water? Sometimes that helps with things that are bacterial which is what this sounds like...

when i had a primary infection I had it inside my mouth cheeks tongue and 1 outside lip. it was awful i couldn't eat anything for days. if i get recurrent outbreak is it like what you say ? it doesn't like the inside area and only get it once or twice ?

Canker sores often come up when your body is out of balance/stress...

I suggest (for your info and peace of mind) that if you get another, just go have it swabbed before you use the salt water gargle ... but odds are if it cleared that fast it's stress/bacterial in nature and not the Herpes virus :)

vitamin c gives me canker sores. and eating too many nacho chips ( is there such a thing???) causes me to get some odd lip/mouth sensations for a night.
