It's going to be "OK"

I was just wondering how many members is this forum? I am new to all of this and am still "shell shocked" but all the positive energy here is helping. I am slowly feeling better about myself and truly know that time is a healer. Like many, I didn't ask for this condition. Wasting time on negative energy and being upset doesn't change anything so I am trying my hardest not to go down that road. I am still "me" but with a secret :) I owe that level of thinking to the "7 habits of highly effective people" There is only so much in life you can control and you shouldn't let the things you can't control consume/anger you. I am pleased that I have found this website and it has helped in so many ways. So thanks! I was just curious if there was a count of how many people are signed up here?

In addition...I would like add a quote I think is great.

Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intentions of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a ride!" ~ Hunter S. Thomp

There are many hundreds of members signed up, but at any given time as you can imagine the amount of active members vary. People flow in, flow out, flow in again ... The ebb and flow of the forum. :)

I love what you have to say about the desire to control life when we can't. Reminds me of the quote "If this, then what?" The "if this" part is the part we don't have control over. The "then what" is the part we do. I'm glad our community is helping you. I'm also glad you're participating. There's something about speaking it all out in a supportive environment that is tremendously healing. Much love!
