Vaginal Tearing

Hello everyone! I can't express how happy I am to find a forum and a community of people that I can finally talk with. I have been hiding from my Herpes. I haven't really talked about it much since my diagnosis. I'm hoping to find some answers, and possibly friendships!

 

So let me start off with my story. Back in January I was diagnosed with Mono. Which hit me pretty hard. After that, a few months later I had noticed strange pimples under my armpits that would just not go away. I was then diagnosed with a MRSA staph infection. Nothing MAJORLY concerning, just annoying :).

 

Then, a few months later, my vagina tore during sex. Let me also say that I have been with the same man for 2 years and this had never happened until recently. I left it alone and 24 hours later more cuts were developing on my perineum. I still ignored it. About 3 days later I was in the worst pain I had ever experienced. I couldn't even go to the bathroom without excruciating pain. I was starting to develop sores around my vagina at this point. I finally went to the emergency room about a week later because I couldn't take the pain. I know I should of gone earlier, but I was scared of the diagnosis. I thought the MRSA was back and tried to cure it at home.They gave me morphine, called me a day or so later and told me that I had Herpes and wrote me a prescription.

 

At this point I'm freaking out. I had immediately thought my boyfriend had cheated. We sat down and talked about it. I had then remember he had a cold sore on his mouth literally 2 days before the cuts appeared. He had also gone "down" on me. My doctor said it was rare, but it could still happen. I got genital herpes from a cold sore on my boyfriends mouth.

 

So I would like to sat THANKS MONO for giving me the crappiest immune system! Lol, but I think I have finally come to terms with everything and am finally comfortable talking about it. It has been about 3 months since my diagnosis of Herpes.

 

I have not had an outbreak since, but I still experience tearing. We let my vagina heal for a month before we tried anything sexually. My perineum ripped again. It is STILL continuing to rip no matter how much time we wait or how much lube we use. The pain isn't as horrible as the first time, but still obviously uncomfortable considering we can't have sex without it ripping. Anyone else having this issue? If so, has anything helped you?! I'm so frustrated.

Have you tried daily suppressive therapy? Also, are you using condoms and/or lube?

Will daily suppressive therapy work if I'm not getting an actual outbreak? Just ripping. So far I have only gotten one outbreak. Also, we use a ton of lube every time. Nothing helps :(

I'm going to the obgyn tomorrow - I was having a bad yeast infection and thought that had weakened my skin, but the yeast has been gone for 2 weeks or so and I tore last week. Most of my tears are totally painless and not deep, just reopening scars ugh!

I will report back.

I'm going to the obgyn tomorrow - I was having a bad yeast infection and thought that had weakened my skin, but the yeast has been gone for 2 weeks or so and I tore last week. Most of my tears are totally painless and not deep, just reopening scars ugh!

Yes please let me know how it goes! Mine aren't too painful anymore, but it happens EVERY TIME! So frustrating. I'm planning to see a gynecologist soon as well. Good luck!

Hi ya, has anyone any updates about this. I'm experiencing this too and I'm very depressed. Every time I let the 1 lesion heal, we have sex and it opens again. It's annoying. I am on daily valtrex and I take Lysine & try and eat well, sleep well, blah blah and nothing. I'm so upset right now. Nothing helps. No amount of lube helps. I'm convinced I will never be able to have sex again.
