Do I disclose to recent ex

Just found out I'm HSV2 a few days ago and wondering if I tell my ex. We ended in Feb this year. I'm in two minds as I'd want to know but I'm worried about him keeping my privacy. Also there's no reliable test in Australia so how can I guide him on what to do to check (assuming he didn't pass it to me).

I can’t tell what to do, but I can tell you what I did. I didn’t share with my ex. I’ve decided that if he were to have an outbreak, he’d know he has something. I’ve never had an outbreak, just tested H+ positive at my annual doctor appt. The main thing that you said that prompts me to say I wouldn’t tell is that he wouldn’t keep it private. It isn’t something he should share with anyone. It’s your private information and if you want people to know, you will tell.
