my value was 91 negative for hsv2

I have to ask how accurate is the IGg test? I took my herpes test the 1st of August and I got my results on the 9th and then on the 17th I had a painful red line on my Labia Majora.i went back to the doctors yesterday the 20th of August and she swabbed me.she thinks it's yeast.she doesn't think have hsv2.i am so scared about this. I don't know where that red line would come from. I have been married for 25 years.my husband says he hasn't cheated on me.i know I haven't cheated on him.  I have to ask if I had hsv2 wouldn't the IGg blood test have picked it up?

Hi, the IGG misses 8 per cent of HSV 2 infections.  Also, if you happen to have HSV 2 and acquired it recently then you may not have enough antibodies yet to be detectable on the IGG test.  Just wait for the swab and see how that goes.  Hopefully you won't have it.  I hope this helps.

thank you. I hope I don't have this either I'm hoping I don't have it.my doctor said she didn't believe I had hsv2 I haven't had sex with my husband in almost 2 months because of this anxiety of maybe having hsv2

nothing has changed I thought about buying one of those home std test online but I don't know how accurate they are. I even thought about going back to the doctor and getting tested again but I don't think I could stand the pressure of waiting 7 to 9 days.so what do you think? Sarah

I got blood test twice each time different numbers it went form 51.80 to 34.40 for hsv1

I have only been tested for herpes one time.they said my hsv1 value was 35. I'm wondering if it's 3.5? I know I have hsv1 because I get cold sores.
