Genital HSV transmission rates

Hi I have herpes type 1 on my genitals. I am a 21 year old female and I have had it for almost 2 years and only had my one initial outbreak.

I have a few questions:

-If I was to have sex with a box just vaginally and no oral sex and he wore a condom are the transmission rates high?

- I don't take valtrex but I have heard that taking it everyday reduces the risk of transmission a lot?

- Also is it true that HSV type 1 transmission is not as prevalent?
