  1. I am pro lysine all the way; especially during ob's. They seemed to make a difference which means cut back on chocolate, red wine and few others and bump up the intake on legs....Arginine is the enemy. As lang as your intake is higher in Lysine, your ahead of the game....Kind of like calorie counting....
  2. Awesome ....Its all good...We are all suppose to be one big happy family.....Lets take care of each other during the good and bad times....
  3. You go when you feel like going. There is no time limit. Put some bag balm to prevent rubbing and go have fun
  4. Lets get to the point ....First you are not going to die....People cannot look at you and know you have herpes....Saying the word herpes will always be awkward......Tea Tree oil relieves itching.....Cold wet compresses with ice also helps itching...Lysine is your friend....Arginine is not....You can look these up.....There usually is depression, anxiety, etc and thats a biggeee. I get it and i was there. I didn't want to leave my house. I cried. I withdrew from everyone and i was just sad....But one day I helped some kids that were very unfortunate and i realized how darn lucky i am. I can wake up in my own warm bed, i can walk outside on my own, i can hold my daughter and take her to school, i can go to the local pub a drink a beer with my friends, i can take my wife out on date night.....I think i was focusing on what i can't do and that's when it all changed Everybody has something. That girl that seems to have perfect hair could be battling cancer. That guy that everyone loves could be battling depression. My point is everyone is human and nobody is perfect. This could be out flaw. this could actually be what makes us all human. That imperfection we have all been waiting for. I'll be honest ...I hate saying the word "Herpes"...Instead i say HS2....Same thing but it seems more formal....Scientific like....But for all of you out there that know exactly what im talking about, the pain, sadness and depression WILL GO AWAY..... Now i live in California and we have legalized cannibis. I do consume CBD which is the non psychoactive part of the plant and it helped me with my anxiety and sadness. I cannot say what it will do for others but it did work for me. Back to depression; do yourself a favor and don't dwell on the past..what happened whether is was from a girlfriend, boyfriend, a one nighter, a three nighter, doesn't matter. What matters is what you do going forward. Be honest with your partner. Alway and i mean always disclose what we have. If they bail, then they do. If they don't, they awesome.... So as i told someone on our board today, don't let this rule you, you rule it....Its a stupid over-exaggerated rash that is really really annoying. The beach is still there. The dog park is still there..The motocross track is still there...Happy hour is still there...Concerts are still there thank goodness. When you meet someone special, pick your time to let them know and if they truly are special, i promise it won't matter. I told a girl i was dating before anything advanced if you know what i mean and i let her think about it. I told her it was ok whatever she wanted to do and the next day she called me and asked me out....If someone cares about you, they see all of you ...Not just certain parts.... I hope this helps someone and everyone....
  5. Hey all . I hope everyone is doing well today. Keep looking forward and it will be alright!!!!
  6. Update...I still have HS2.....And i still don't care....Hopefully this made somebody laugh!
  7. I left you a comment on your recent post...
  8. If she said its ok, then its ok. there is no need to worry until there is a need to worry. If she is giving you every indication that it is going to be alright, then don't let your mind play games. Carry on like nothing ever happened....Enjoy your life...:)
  9. Nothing you can do but wait. I went thru the same thing the first few months and it was not fun. Eventually my immune system caught up and everything slowed down. Sounds like his body is adjusting ....
  10. The first OB is usually the worse. At least that was my experience as a guy. I was in pain, very fatigued and my leg muscles were so painful i could barely walk. The good news was that after the first month, the following OB's were less and less bothersome. Until now they really aren't very noticeable at all
  11. Im a fan. I haven't had ant side effects myself however everyone reacts differently. I would kindly ask your doctor
  12. Well its obviously your choice who you do and don't tell. As far as symptoms go, i would get an opinion of a licensed doctor and go from there. Valtrex seems to be a favorite from what we all read. Treat this like the flu for aches and pains. Tea tree oil seems to work pretty good for itching, etc. It will subside but you might feel a bit achy if its' your first outbreak. Don't hate yourself. You didn't try to harm anyone or yourself. Life just took you for a spin and now you need to ride it out. If your brave enough to go on a life adventure like this, a simple skin virus is nothing. Keep on your adventure and be prepared in case of another outbreak. Im jealous...I hope you have enough fun for all of us.....
  13. Hi all, I hope this finds all of you well. Being a 7 year survivor of HS2, I know what most of you are going thru. If anyone has any questions please ask or message me. I really don't want anyone to feel sad or helpless or lost like i did years ago. If somebody told me back then what i know now, it would of made it all so much better. So I'm here to help if i can.....
  14. I like Tea Tree Oil. It does the trick for me every time and smells really good
