Do you all have prodrome with these outbreaks? For example, when you @2Legit2Quit drink liquor do you prodrome when you have an outbreak?

Ok, I've been dealing with having HSV-1 genitally for close to 8 months now. I've experienced burning in scrotum and back of legs area which I think was my initially outbreak. After two weeks of dealing with that I got on valtrex, but my symptoms were dying down anyway so not sure if antivirals helped. What I would like to know is it those with HSV-1 genitally have prodrome symptoms when they are having an outbreak? The only sore type symptoms I've had were small bumps with clear fluid in them. I think I get them when I shave downstairs. They never turn into ulcer and aren't really painful. If I pop them they disappear in like a day or two. If I let them go they just go back in the skin. They seem to appear in the same areas. Haven't times them right to have them swabbed. I'm trying like hell to get them to appear so I can swab them, but now I can't get them to appear. Does anyone else just get small bump with no prodrome?

@Sadpanda. What do his blisters look like? I'm still clueless on what I am suppose to be looking for. I have these small clear bumps that when I pop, clear fluid comes out. However, if I don't touch them. I don't think they will go away. Is this something similar to what he has?

I don't think I have kidney stones, but who knows. I had that feeling for over two months. Almost felt like my testicles were really big like I said. They didn't feel larger in size, but just felt that way. @seeker, we're both your testicles painful at the same time. Mine started off being the right side for month, then it went to my left for about a month.

So apparently it is just you and I GB. No one else I guess.

i had my first so called herpes prodrome (tingling in scrotum and inner thigh, but no sores) at the end of December from being on a cortico steroid. During that period I developed a kick in the balls feeling that is still present. It was very bad in the beginning. Every way I sat it felt like I was crushing my balls. The pain got worse if I put pressure on my testicles for about an hour then go back to the normal discomfort. After 3 months it is still present, but much milder. Has anyone else ever experienced this from an outbreak or your initial outbreak?

What kind of nerve pain are you all talking about? Where do you feel it and how painful is it?

Well that isn't good news. I was hoping to get rid of the burn and raw skin feeling. Disappointing to say the least.

Well I just went to my doctor Tuesday and she wants me to try doxycycline for something antibacterial. I told her that it is more of a skin issue than something deep inside. So after 10 days if no relief she said she would have me try valtrex. I did valtrex when I first got the tingling initially, but it was close to 4 weeks after I was having issues. Everything was pretty much faded at that point, so I couldn't tell if it did anything or not. My head was going 100 mph at that point so I had no idea what was happening. I'll know whether or not this or valtrex works. What ever gets rid of this taint burn. It drives me nuts. Tried lysine, eating really well, multi vitamins and still won't go away.

I'm still in that unknown stage. Diagnosedt this past December with H1. I had tingling down below and my PCP said it was genital herpes. Never got any sores. Just tingling sensation. I've had this burning in my taint for over a month and a half. My skin penis and scrtotum just feels all raw. One day it appears really red and then it disappears, then it comes back. Some spots are extremely red at times on my scrotum. Not sure if this is herpes related, but my ass cheeks and down my thigh on the back of my legs are always sore feeling. Been This way for this whole time too. I might have had this all along, but since positive results I am diagnosing everything.

@sadpanda how big are your paper cut lesions? Do they form blisters (become fluid filled) or just like sore feeling? How fast do they heal? I had what I thought was a herpes sore, but my doctor says no. It was too small and wasn't filled with any fluid. I think it healed in 2 days, maybe 3 because I didn't notice it till this past Monday and it is gone now. Does this sound like something you get

December was the first symptoms for me Had the tingling for a month. It went away, but them about a month and a half ago I got the burning again and it has been there ever since. It won't go away for me either. Haven't found any help yet. Haven't taken valtrex to see if that works or not. Wish I had an answer.

I've been taking probiotics now for like 5 days. Still have the strange taste in my mouth.

I've read about the mouthwash. I seem to have a weird taste in my mouth quite often and the back of my tongue has a white layer on it. No idea if it is herpes symptom, fungal, or nothing. I guess I can put it to some use anyway.

I've read that there can be some serious health issues with drinking a large concentration of FGHP. I have to be honest I did buy into it. I purchased FGHP, but have not taken it since I am waiting for more test results. Glad it wasn't expensive and didn't waste a lot of money. I know people take for other reasons, but in small quantities. Thanks for the input. Curiosity got the best of me to say the least.

I've tried searching this forum regarding this topic, but have come up empty. Like most people, I have searched the Internet frantically to help or cure herpes. I came across a website that talked about drinking food grade hydrogen peroxide for a cure. The website wanted me to pay $37 dollars to get access to the regiment. Looking for anything to help I almost paid to have access. However, I found the article elsewhere. No I am not connected with that website or some chemical company promoting a product. Just someone looking for a cure. I'm wondering if anyone has tried this process.

no just one test and it was positive. Igg blood test.

How do you swab the skin? Do you have to scrape layers of skin off? How much were those swabs and test costs?

@whitedaises do you bumps contain any fluid, or are you swapping the skin? I'm in the same boat you are. However, I don't present any bumps. All I have ever got I really red tender skin and the tingling/burning. Since I had the tingling/burning and was H1+ my doctor just said it was genital herpes. I had the red skin at the time, but he said everything looked normal. I myself would really just like to know for sure, but since I don't encounter any sores I'm not sure if the doctor can just swab red skin? Did westover tell you that just swabbing skin can be enough to determine if it herpes or not?

In my opinion you should get checked out by another doctor. Possibly an infectionous disease specialist. I am knew to being diagnosed so I am not much help. I get the tingling/burning feeling, but have yet to get an outbreak. I hope I stay that way.
