HELP!

Recommended Posts

Well, you could have caught it orally too, hard to tell. If you get a cold sore or a blister, swab it so you know for sure.

It could be from meds as it can do strange things.

Could be because of stress

I get eczema around my mouth and chin sometimes and that causes similar tingles.

Really hard to know, you will have to wait it out and see if anything happens. If you were on antivirals, chances are a cold sore wouldn't develop

This doesnt really help....maybe Dancer or someone else will chime in.

It's also very possible you've had Oral Herpes since you were a kid and the stress of the other OB's helped it to come out. 60% of all kids have HSV1 orally by the time they are young adults. 80% of people up to age 50 (as in, obviously more will have it if you include the over 50's group) have oral H and 80% don't know they have it.

If it progresses you can get it swabbed ... but I wouldn't overstress about it ...because that's the first way to make sure you get a new one down stairs ;)

Thanks guys ... it was a reaction to new lip balm. Whew. I don't want to freak out over everything! I'm trying super hard to go with the flow. I did find out I've a nasty upper respiratory infection, so I'm actually relived that it wasn't H making me feel like crap.

I'm totally grateful for each and every one of you. Thank you for the info and support.

Hugs
