Vertical clitoral Hood piercings

Ok so I want to get my clitoral hood pierced (not the actual clitoris) and I was wondering if this would be a bad idea due to the fact that I have herpes (obviously because I'm on this cite right? Lol :). I'm thinking I should be ok because when I do have outbreaks they aren't anywhere close to my clitoris so it shouldn't affect anything ...but I'm not sure and idk anybody who has this piercing and has genital herpes...

I would guess that if your OB's are nowhere near the area of the piercing (no matter where it is) you should be ok - but I'd consult with your OBGYN AND the piercer ... they should be properly trained in the Do's and Don'ts of where you can pierce and under what conditions ...

 

I'd also make sure you were at least 6 months post exposure ... preferably a year so that there's no chance of "inoculating" the open wound with the virus ... once you have plenty of antibodies the risk should be minute but I'd not want to take a chance while your body is still dealing with learning to manage the virus ;)

Ok cool I've had herpes for years so that shouldn't bey problem I just need to find a very experienced peircer (im still looking) and make an appointment with my Ob/gyn :) thanks for your response
