hsv2 and oral sex?

Recommended Posts

Hey guys and girls haven't been on in forever. Ok so the other night my fiance went down on me and before it everything was great I did just shave so I felt a little razor burn, but later that night I started getting a pain there and felt like a sore but I didn't see anything. But now I'm freaking out because I don't want him to get it in his mouth. we only have it genitally. So I mean what's the possibility of him breaking out on or in his mouth?

You both have HSV2 - right?? So you should be quite safe. 99% of all oral herpes is HSV1 (HSV2 just doesn't like it there) AND (assuming I'm right and remember that you both have HSV2) you both already have HSV2 antibodies ... so you have protection from the virus there as well ... so BREATHE! He will be just fine :)

And for everyone else wanting to know specifics on genital herpes (HSV-2) and oral sex, check out the 19:50 mark of this interview I did with Dr. Peter Leone:
