Turnaround Time on Dental Hygiene Question (Brushing, Flossing, Small Abrasions)

I remember once reading that you should avoid brushing teeth and flossing before engaging in kissing or oral sex with a partner because it causes small cuts/scrapes/abrasions in the gums and it's easier to transfer an sti.

 

Is there a 'turnaround' time for that? Like the small cuts heal within ____ hour(s) of brushing and flossing or anything?

Never heard of that - but Herpes generally doesn't hang inside the mouth - in most people it's on the outside of the lip. Most sores on the inside of the mouth are canker sores which are not herpes....

I never heard of that, but I've been doing that rule for a while because I'm worried about HIV sometimes.

 

One benefit to having herpes is not being afraid of one day getting it.

But, you can still get the other kind unless you have both types.
