I have hsv 1 in my genitals. Does this mean it's not safe for me to give a blow job to someone hsv negative? Even though I've never had a cold sore on my mouth?

I have HSV1 genital as well. Well I'm assuming it's genital since that's where I had the oubltbreak. I'm fairly new to this as well. And I asked the same question.

 

I never ever get cold sores. And the person that answered me stated that if I have HSV1 in my genital then I don't have it orally. My concern was my kids.

You can have oral sex without the worry of transmitting when you only have a genital infection. :)

 

(not to sure on the "if you have it genitally then you can't have it orally". We have people who have posted and said they have it in both areas)

You're welcome. I wanted to clarify you can give oral freely. I didn't mean receive as well. That part will be a little trickier.
