We are not alone in the stigma and misinformation...

Wow. This is appalling. Yes, ignorance is another virus that's equal opportunity. It can happen to anyone ... We're just one of those movements in this world that is moving toward awareness, inclusion and acceptance. The world as a whole is moving that way ... Slowly ... Churning ... People are waking up. And it's happening one by one. And then things like this remind us there are plenty who act before thinking or consideration. Even more opportunity for us to step up and continue to offer understanding instead of ignorance.

The thing is, I can get it that Herpes is misunderstood because it's not discussed in the public but HIV has been discussed soooo much that it brings me back to reality of the ignorance of so many when I see something like this. AND it makes me more determined to keep educating people about OUR condition.

I have a great idea for an informational commercial - now I just have to find some way to get it funded :)
