I just want some one to talk to. I feel alone. I'm a 19 year old female. I feel like an outsider. I don't know anyone with Herpies other than myself.. I rather talk to a guy. But only as a friend. Not under 16 or over 22. Thats just my comfort zone of age. I just hate this.

I'm not in your age group but I was when I got Herpes...I've had it for 35 years and I promise you that things will get better. There are plenty of people on here in your age range who I know will talk to you. I have to warn you tho, as with most "group" things, there are waaay more women than men...but they are smart and I know they will help you along...

I can tell you one thing: You are absolutely not alone. It only seems that way. If everyone in your age range who actually carry the HSV virus (either HSV-1 or HSV-2 or both) had the letter H tattooed on their head for you to see, you'd see more tattooed foreheads than not. Yes, the majority of people have either cold sores and/or genital herpes. You're officially in the majority of people who carry the herpes virus. I know it FEELS lonely because of the silence that shame and stigma unfortunately creates. But coming to our community and speaking out, even in this anonymous way, is an awesome first step in proving to yourself and your psyche and your hurting heart that you are very much in good company.
