vaginal irritation only after I pee

Recommended Posts

I just need to vent..

Im fine until I go pee. Once I do I start feeling a little irritated and my clitoris is irritated as well. Im starting to wonder if my yeast infection is completely gone. Ughhh I'm over it at the moment. I doubled up on meds just in case it was an ob on the way. But it still happens when I pee.

when Im feeling that way, Ive been putting coconut oil on myself. It seem to help a lot with the burn and irritation. Maybe somebody else has a better remedy, but that is what works for me. I also tried a weak douche of apple cider vinegar and water in case mine was a yeast infection. Im sorry you are feeling like this. You arent alone.

@cariboo thanks for the suggestion. I have some coconut oil I'm going to try it now. Did the douche burn? I've never been able to use one without intense burning since I'm so sensative down there. Im grateful I don't have any blisters but this pain is a drag. It's not excruciating but itis a nuesance

@cariboo I'm pretty much dealing with the same thing. I hope things get better for you as well. It's crazy to me when I read online and can't find any help with the symptoms I have. But coming here and talking to others like you dealing with the same issue helps a lot. Thanks

My constant irritation is finally feeling better. I think it's because I started supplements and also I'm back on the valtrex for suppression. Also was swabbing on lemon balm when I was really irritated. I think it helped. I love coconut oil too but idont leave it on because I thought the area had to "breathe" and be dry to minimize outbreaking. Not sure if that would affect it or not..

@shocked80 , I got it at the vitamin shoppe. 2 oz bottle for $22. :/

It's the only place I could find it though. I don't live near a whole foods or trader joes, but they might have the lemon balm salve. I was looking for that but could only find the extract. I just put a couple droppers full on a cotton pad and swab. It feels kinda weird but it usually feels better the next day. They sell it on amazon too. It has great reviews from ppl with hsv. Last I checked a jar of salve was $12 on there.

The salve is like an ointment that comes in a jar, I've never used it but the reviewers with hsv on amazon seem to like it. The lemon balm I have is like an extract with a dropper bottle. It comes in a 2 oz bottle and was with the other extracts like olive leaf at the health food store. Really pricey though. I don't know if it was all the vitamins I'm taking or the balm, or both, but I'm feeling very close to my old self lately.

@shocked80 , I put it all over the outside but not up inside. I put extra where I'm prone to outbreak, which is around the opening. It's a weird oily type stuff, and it's dark greenish yellow. It doesn't sting though but it tingles. I think it helped me with the constant irritation I've had for over a mth

We have tons of suggestions in the links below ... coconut oil and lemon balm are both good as they are anti-viral, anti fungal, and anti-bacterial ... so they are good for any itch ...

Sounds like the yeast infection is still there ... sometimes they can be hard to knock out - are you taking probiotics? Also, I'd look into the Candida Diet - people that get a lot of yeast infections often have an over-abundance of sugar in their system and that feeds the yeast ... I have a few friends who say that when they go on the diet, they feel a hundred times better... its not an easy diet but it's worth a try :p
