Vaccines for other types of viruses

Ok so let me get this straight, almost everyone has had chicken pox as a kid. So that virus remains in your body indefinitely and can resurface later on in life as shingles which is a form of herpes. My question is, how is it that they can make a vaccine for shingles, but cannot make one for hsv1 and hsv2?

I could be wrong, but the vaccine I think is more for those who have already had chicken pox and they're focused in this more, because I think they see shingles as debilitating and painful, when I've had neuropathy just as severe as those from shingles, cause by HSV 2... I dunno, everything w HSV has just been swept under the rug

Odds are in part because people talk about Shingles, so the reality of living with it is more in the faces of the people who make the decisions of where funding will go. People with H usually go underground and the reality of living with it is swept under the rug... esp those who have a really bad physical reaction. Hell, if the medical world doesn't automatically test for it, that tells you a LOT about their attitude towards it.

The medical community doesn't even want to accept the atypical symptoms of H are possible, so I'm willing to bet so many have unreported symptoms like mine and some others on here. I hate how much HSV is ignored.
